a pol dies an untimely death

I thought I'd always, always, wish ill of any politician.  Any party, but especially this most corrupt and desh-drohi bunch of crooks, led by that Italian woman, selling India down the river in every way imaginable.

Perhaps I'm not as cynical as I thought I was...  because it still feels sad.  All said and done, he has a wife, kids, grandkids...  It's not how many people need you, it's how many people want you that counts I guess, and he will probably be missed by those.

[for my one non-Indian reader: the CM of my state (eqvt to a governer in the US) died in a copter crash yesterday in a remote area]

Your one non-Indian reader thanks you for the clarification. Next up: translate "desh-drohi" into American ... I'm guessing it means "anti-immigrant" (thanks, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desh_Drohi!)

Oops I forgot I had that in there...

anyway that link sounds like a movie; what it actually means is traitor or someone guilty of treason

Also please spare a thought for the other four in the chopper. The two pilots, the chief secretary and the security officer. Apparently he was the CM was advised to reschedule his trip because of bad weather. I guess what happened is what people term as "fate" or "karma"

oh that goes without saying -- they are not politicians.

I was only introspecting on my own inconsistency, and that inconsistency would only apply to the CM, not the rest.

In fact it is quite possible that the CM overrode their objections, which is a sobering thought. No one will ever know, I guess...
